Overview

The year of 1912 saw the opening of the western 4-star Hotel Angleterre in the centre of St Petersburg, forging from that moment on close links with St. Petersburg. One of the oldest hotels in the city, now managed by Rocco Forte Hotels, Hotel Angleterre has an established reputation and undoubtedly can be considered one of the most elegant and prestigious hotels in the world. Accommodation

Each of Angleterre Hotel's 188 bedrooms and five suites were designed by Olga Polizzi and decorated in a style that combines the classic and the contemporary, brilliantly blending Russian and European furniture and accessories. In soft, gentle colour schemes, with sumptuously generous beds, linens from the Volga and spacious marble bathrooms, every room promises comfort, relaxation and a great night's sleep. Many overlook St Isaac's Square, with the best views in the city, whilst some overlook the hotel's courtyard garden with the domes of St Isaac's Cathedral framing the skyline. Club Rooms Single and double accommodation situated on the fifth floor and facing the quite interior garden with diamond-shaped sky-lights. There is a possibility of two separate beds in the room. These comfortable rooms are contemporary designed and feature parquet flooring, white-off furniture, burgundy silky embroidered Volga linens from Russia with bedspreads, curtains and cushions. The built-in wardrobe is spacious. A comfortable armchair and glass table by the window is an ideal place to relax. The writing desk has computer and modem sockets within easy access. Each room is air-conditioned and offer satellite television, safe, direct dial telephone, mini-bar tea/coffee facilities. Telephone is located beside the bed, on the desk. Created by the accomplished designer Olga Polizzi, Borsalino Brasserie is a stunning room in which to meet friends and colleagues, or relax after a day discovering the city. Decorated in leather and pistachio colours, with rich, exotic woods from Latin America, an English mosaic floor and gold pictures portraying the soul of the poet Sergey Esenin, Borsalino reflects the cultural influences that meet at this historic hotel. Sip a cocktail at the bar, the centrepiece of this beautiful room. Enjoy a restorative cup of coffee in our comfortable armchairs, whilst you gaze out of the arc-windows with their panoramic views of St Isaac's Square and the cathedral. Or relax over a meal which features the finest contemporary cuisine, combining the best local ingredients with international influences and created by our Chef Colin Flood. Meeting Facilities

We offer a full range of conference facilities. Our conference hall -- designed to hold any type of meeting, conference, congress, or concert -- seats up to 205 people and is well-equipped with up-to-date audiovisual equipment. We also operate several smaller rooms: a meeting room which accommodates 12 people, a banquet room for 20, and the Esenin room which seats 25. Our business centre provides a full range of secretarial services, and our guests are welcome to use the computers, typewriters, telex, copiers, and fax machines.
